These sculptures, which reference funeral ceremonies are typically made from real flowers that wilt, die and rot throughout the duration of an exhibition. The flower or colour can often be used as a reference point too, drawing on cultural meanings attached to a species of flower or conceptually linking the work to a location or idea. These works are fleeting and ever changing. The viewer never sees, smells or experiences the work in the same way twice.
